Park your car and then forget about it, Ilfracombe's harbour area is an ideal spot to escape the rat race, even if just for a weekend break.
After your Full English Breakfast claim a bench in the sunshine on the harbourside and spend a lazy couple of hours watching the boats and the people come and go. Then amble back along The Quay browsing the quaint souvenir shop windows as you pass by before enjoying a cream tea at one of the many tea gardens along St James Place.
In the afternoon take a stroll along Capstone Parade to fully appreciate the glorious North Devon coastline. On a clear day you can see Lundy Island and South Wales in the distance.
